Unhappy Please help! Sick Gastrochilus!

Please help me! I am in need of some guidance. All of the leaves on my gastrochilus have fallen off. the roots are healthy but now there are no leaves. He lives in my terrarium and was beautiful for a year and a half. I think I got a little over zealous with the spray bottle and over watered him. Is there any hope for him? Will he shoot out a new growth since the roots are still in great condition or do I need to give up hope?

Thanks,

Mindy

Mine live in a very wet environment, get sprayed every 4 hours, fertilized every other day, stay at 90+ humidity, warm temperatures and continue to pump out leaves, roots and flowers. I have no clue but sounds like something got to it. Sorry I can't help.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

thanks for your input. I just moved recently and the tank moved with me in the car, so maybe it got to stressed out and gave up. There are a lot of mushrooms that have been sprouting in my tank as well. I just have no idea because everything else in the tank looks healthy and happy. I have a Harallea retrocalla that has three spikes on it right next to my gastrochilus.

I've had orchids get chewed up by bugs and lost all leaves but the roots were still fine. They all came back eventually. That was before I ever treated my orchids with ANYTHING at all. Maybe Im just an optimist but if I see living healthy roots, I would not loose hope.

Mushrooms simply mean a food source (decaying mounts) and heat and moisture. Doesn't lead to what you describe. Loss of all leaves suddenly leads me to think something's wrong with this plant. Just don't know what.
