Peristeria elata new growth?

Culture on this one seems divided. I can't find straight answers on whether or not to keep it moist or dry. I've gone in between and given it water only when the bulb shriveled a bit. Not sure if it liked that because it dropped both leaves. To my knowledge these are not deciduous.

I remained patient and now I have this little growth popping out. Do i start watering more or what? Should I grow it like my ctsm. And wait for the growth to get larger?
