I had a good look around the web for images videos , comments as I'm sure you have . A few images of backbulbs that look like your bulb , but not as healthy as yours. Lots of images of what looks like very fast draining mix. I suspect if you just do just have you have done with your Ctsm , ie: start with a little misting and work your way up. I feel with the bulb so stuffed with energy and water you are safe to leave it a couple of weeks or more before watering. I don't know why your leaves dropped, could it have been spider mite damage ? Sometimes they just seem to explode on a plant and 48 hours later they have killed leaves on plants. It's happened to my a couple of times with Alocasia's . Sometimes I think spider mite just waits for you to go away for a weekend
Perhaps spider mite is more of a problem for me as I often over winter Aroids , Musa , Ensete and such indoors. here is a pic of the old house with my crazy pots on the lawn year.
