Default Peristeria elata new growth?

Culture on this one seems divided. I can't find straight answers on whether or not to keep it moist or dry. I've gone in between and given it water only when the bulb shriveled a bit. Not sure if it liked that because it dropped both leaves. To my knowledge these are not deciduous.

I remained patient and now I have this little growth popping out. Do i start watering more or what? Should I grow it like my ctsm. And wait for the growth to get larger?

Given that there maybe no advise for your problem
Go with what you feel is right, it seems to have served you well with your other Orchids. I have watched a few of your vids and they make sense.
I hope you get some good advise tho .
Good Luck

Thanks for watching! I tried to solicit advice on my video as well lol. I took the culture advice Carter and Holmes gave me, but after losing its leaves I'm not confident it is liking me. I'll add a close up of the new growth just in case someone has an answer.

I had a good look around the web for images videos , comments as I'm sure you have . A few images of backbulbs that look like your bulb , but not as healthy as yours. Lots of images of what looks like very fast draining mix. I suspect if you just do just have you have done with your Ctsm , ie: start with a little misting and work your way up. I feel with the bulb so stuffed with energy and water you are safe to leave it a couple of weeks or more before watering. I don't know why your leaves dropped, could it have been spider mite damage ? Sometimes they just seem to explode on a plant and 48 hours later they have killed leaves on plants. It's happened to my a couple of times with Alocasia's . Sometimes I think spider mite just waits for you to go away for a weekend
Perhaps spider mite is more of a problem for me as I often over winter Aroids , Musa , Ensete and such indoors. here is a pic of the old house with my crazy pots on the lawn year.

Yeah, so far I've been winging it and looking at pictures online to help get me through. I was just hoping someone on OB grew these. I'll treat it like my Ctsm. and see what happens. Worst case scenario is that I create a culture guide for how NOT to grow it

Thanks for your insight on the matter!

You inspired me with your Bulbofett vid's . I ordered these plants.

SVO5911 Clo. Jem's Speckled Russ 'SVO'AM/AOS x Ctsm. Karen Armstrong 'Golden Fire'

SVO5697 Ctsm. Karen Armstrong (Ctsm. denticulatum 'SVO' AM/AOS x Ctsm. Susan Fuchs 'Burgundy Chips' FCC/AOS)

SVO5695 Ctsm. tigrinum 'SVO' x Ctsm. cirrhaeoides v. alba 'SVO 54'

SVO5032 Fdk. Julio David Rios (Mo. Leopard Drops 'SVO' AM/AOS x
Ctsm. Donna Wise 'Amber' AM/AOS )

SVO5245 Ctsm. Bela Vista's Sangria 'Jamie's Purple Passion'
HCC/AOS x Ctsm. pileatum v. imperale 'SVO Blood Red'

Should be here Wednesday. We maybe moving to Holland in a few months . So a bit silly to buy plants. I'm sure I can find a home for them locally if we move.

You got so many goodies!!!! I'm excited for you! You will not be disappointed in the least. Ctsm. are my favorite genus for a reason! The ones that Fred sends you should be waking up, so it will be easier on you to start them. They should arrive dry, and you can decide if you want to repot them or not.

Congrats on the new growth!! That's exciting. I considered getting one of these but never did. The only thing I know is that they are members of the Zygopetilinae tribe. Obviously you're doing something right since the growth is still growing.
