Okay, hope it works this time. If not, I think I was able to add it to my album.

Oh yes, that's better sii. Very lovely! Can you tell me what temps you grow this or at least once it has buds and any other tips. I think the plant is similar to my Den. Enobi Purple 'Splash' and my buds, once fully grown are blasting on me. Not sure what is wrong.

A spike on a phal
This is one of the two phals I got from home depo.
It was in bloom in January 2010 and stayed in bloom until May. It grew four leaves during the summer and now it is about to bloom again.
I see the ninth bud developing at the end although it doesn't show in the picture at all.
This is a small, but not super mini, white pink candy stripe flowered one.
By the way, the white dendrobium picucture is lovely!
One of my NOID white den is about to open its first bud this week. I should post pictures soon.
Yours look quite short or does it look that way in the picture?

Silken,
I grow this dendrobium by my east window. It's a year old. It gets full morning sun until about noon. I water it once a week (but I use the skewer as well). I haven't had a chance to change it out of its original pot because it grows quickly (and I've been a little chicken to mess something up - remember my nelly isler - still hanging on but it doesn't look good) The medium is moss, bark and charcoal (original mix). I water it using warm water. Once I see that all the blooms have formed, I move the plant away from the direct sun so the blooms will last longer. Seems to work for me.
Hope this helps, but I think you have a 'greener' thumb than me.
NYorchidman, thanks for your kind words. This orchid isn't short. The thin stems are 17 inches long, not including the stem with the leaves (does that make sense??) My picture probably looks short because I was having issues posting a bigger picture.

Well, yours is obviously happy. I'm not sure I have any sort of green thumb but we do what we can! I think mine has to tolerate somewhat cooler conditions in the winter than it should in the greenhouse. I brought it in the house yesterday since it wasn't going to bloom in the greenhouse. I've already lost the largest two buds. I have nothing to lose by leaving it in the house now. Or maybe I do! My %$@# cat knocked it onto the floor in less than 24 hrs of it being in. Luckily I have tape across the pot acting like a rhizome clip and the pot is clay so it landed pot first and the plant is OK. The bottom of the pot broke out and I can see fairly nice healthy roots all the way to the bottom!

Ahhh, cats. Gotta love them. I have kids and they like to get into things too. The 'office/orchid room' table is off limits. So far so good.
Sending you lots of luck. Post pictures when you see something.

Wow, some really nice budding and blooming action going on with all these orchids. Looks terrific!
My 2nd phal just opened its second flower and has about 8 more buds to go. My 1st phal that suffered some bud blasts seems stalled... I hope it's just waiting to muster up a little more energy, rather than aborting the whole season. I keep my living room temperature low overnight, conserving energy, so I think I may have to get a heating mat to help these orchids... especially during the day when I'm not home (no sense in running the heat to 70 if no one is there).
