Default Zygopetalum Syd Monkhouse

I got this orchid in Feb of 2007 at the Philly Flower Show and I was disappointed when it did not bloom this spring.

Now I'm very happy. I noticed a flower stalk last month and now it has bloomed.

It's scent is very similar to a carnation, which is wonderful because carnations are my favorite flower after orchids.

To add to my happiness I noticed when I went out to take the picture that my oncidium is growing a flower stalk.

Cute. Does anyone know if Zygos and their hybrids are hardy in California? Can they be grown with cymbidiums? I am thinking about tyring one.
