I repot anytime, although have never tried it when one's in bloom. Your mix sounds fine to me, although I don't grow that way. Because they like moist feet, you just about need to repot once a year if using an organic mix.

Have read the warm growing multi-florals are supposed to be repotted during warmer weather due to slower growth in winter months. But I've never paid much attention to that.
