Default Coelogyne testacea

First spike in bloom this year; it's a big plant, several other spikes are coming! Coel. testacea has a scent, not a 'fragrance' like massangeana, but not a 'cow urine' smell like flaccida....something like....bitter musk? It's not bad and it's not good, it's only....different!

Paul,

The 'grasslike' plant is in fact a kind of fern! It's very common here, and is not dangerous to the orchids (ie, the ferns don't steal much nutrients)

Looks very much like its cousin C. dayana, with that chain of blossoms.

Beautiful plant.

More flowers, same plant; 20-25 flowers per spikes, two spikes with fully opened flowers, six more spikes coming!
