Coelogyne testacea

First spike in bloom this year; it's a big plant, several other spikes are coming! Coel. testacea has a scent, not a 'fragrance' like massangeana, but not a 'cow urine' smell like flaccida....something like....bitter musk? It's not bad and it's not good, it's only....different!

There is an orchid that smells like cow urine :yikes::faint:

The 'grasslike' plant is in fact a kind of fern! It's very common here, and is not dangerous to the orchids (ie, the ferns don't steal much nutrients) |
