I have, years ago. I was from a reputable vendor in Hawaii. It came in spike, in beautiful shape, and I still have it today. In fact, it's in spike again.

As far as I’m aware, Amazon does not sell plants themselves, but are simply the platform for others to sell plants.

Exactly, but it will tell you who the vendor is.

Plant question about Amazon
Default

I have bought all kinds of plants off of Amazon. Off the top of my head, I know I have ordered herbs, aquatic plants for my cherry shrimp, orchids, air plants and orchids/carnivorous plants in jars. I even bought my cherry shrimp on Amazon. I read the reviews closely, find the company's real website and learn as much as possible about them, then order. I haven't been disappointed. Sometimes I order from a favorite vendor from Amazon rather than their website as the shipping is cheaper through Amazon when I buy one or two plants. I have even found good vendors that I order from regularly now from their own website. So, if you see something you like and the price is decent, the reviews are good and the website looks legit... go for it...as long as it isn't 'Orchid Seeds'.

Just a note...this is in the US. I am not sure what vendors you will encounter. Good luck, though.

Plant question about Amazon Female
Default Amazon Vanda

Last week I ordered a Juvenile Vanda, I am assuming larger than a seedling but far from spiking and blooms. I live in NM and the vendor is located in the NE corner of NC. A day later I check and it had shipped. My problem is not with the weather of the Vendor which is still in normal fall weather, and the day I ordered here it new mexico it was in the 75+ degrees. The next day, yesterday, it snowed 6 inches and is below freezing. I think i am in real trouble and in danger of loosing the Vanda before it even arrives. I checked the vendor website again and they offer heat pads for a small price but alas, it had already shipped and now I am on pins and needles with worry . OH well, something to take my mind off of the virus and stay at home order. Glad I have food with all this snow.

You need to pay close attention to where the plants or seeds are coming from. In the US you can buy plants via Amazon that are shipped from other countries without paperwork. This can cause trouble for you and the plants are burned.
