Hello from Texas!
Default Hello from Texas!

I just "rescued" some orchids (2 doritaenopsis and a phalaenopsis) 2 were clearance racked because of no blooms but were still healthy enough for a fighting chance. I recently moved back home to Texas from China and my cattleyas my brother was fostering for me in my absence didn't make it so I have been itching to get my hands on some orchids again.

I found this forum when I went looking for what exactly the "dtps" on the tags meant and loved the wealth of knowledge immediately.

so... hello!

Welcome home.

Which part of the state are you in? I'm up in the NE side in the Central East Texas Orchid Society, Tyler.

I'm in Mt. Vernon not all that far from you if your location in your profile is accurate!

Twinion

Our next meeting will be Nov 16, if you want to come down for a visit. The meeting might be a bit off-putting since we are getting ready for an orchid show in March 2015.

But ......... The show and tell should be nice this time of year, and the raffle table, and a small sales table, too.

Maybe we'll see you?
Take care
Rex

I'm near Texas in New Mexico, but about 8 miles from the Texas Border. Lubbock and Amarillo are the closest big towns to me. Welcome.
