Default Vanda NOID

I bought this chid from a local nursery. They lost the ID. The plant however doesn't look like a strap-leaf vanda but more like thick terete vanda with short physique. Sorry if I couldn't describe it any better.

Anyway, I thought the pattern and markings look very close to Vanda Rothschildiana see here. Maybe a hybrid with Arachnis but the I have checked with RHS and hybrid between said Vanda and Arachnis is only Aranda Pauline Seah which is a cross with Arachnis Maggie Oei. I wonder if anyone have seen the Aranda and help me confirm the ID.

Hi Psyched.

I'm not good on Vandas - or that much use on anything else yet, truth be told - but the Rothschildiana has fatter petals. So how close does "Ascocenda Meda Arnold = Ascocentrum curvifolium X Vanda Rothschildiana" look?

All credit (if any is due as I have no idea) to Don and Dorothy of course...

Cheers,
Aus.

My best guess is a Mokara - Arachnis x Ascocentrum x Vanda. Mokara have been extensively mericloned for use in the cut flower trade. Spikes are floriferous, flowers have vibrant, non-fading colors and are long lasting.
Yours looks like my Mokara Walter Oumae 'Calypso' but its true identity is anybody's guess.
