Thank you so much. And thank you for attention. I don't know why, but walkeriana, 4 Schoenorchises, 2 Sophronitises died from black rot per one night :( But I buy new Sophronitises, new species of Schoenorchis, and I have 4 old healthy. New walkeriana too I buy last week.

Good day my friends :) I need a help. Did any body look like raft for Laelia liliputiana from Floralia?

https://i.ibb.co/WkPLhnh/IMG-20201113-112236.jpg

https://i.ibb.co/n6DpgmX/IMG-20201113-112238.jpg

What must I do? I must remove from this raft and then will pot into the gravel or medium-small bark with pumice stone and perlite (1: 1: 1) [travaldo.blogspot]. Or I don't need crush this very interesting unusual raft. How must I watering this raft slightly or heavy? How do it dry very quickly? Please, if anybody looked like raft early, give me a link to those site.

I think that you can treat this like any other mounted plant. The terracotta will hold water gently but dry fast, the sphagnum will give a more damp place for the roots. This really does seem to have the conditions for a rupiculous Laelia, which grows on the surface of rocks with roots dipping into cracks where there is organic matter, moisture, and coolness (relatively) These do take very high light. They can tolerate both heat and cold - their habitat is very harsh. I think I will have to try this with the next "rupi" that I get! It is an interesting variation on the approach that I have been using which is gravel, with a very thin layer of potting soil under the surface, to try to also mimic their habitat - this approach does much the same thing.

i like the mount..i would say that if you rest this in a cup of leca the way you have a few other plants, it will doo well.

the terra cotta will wick water from the leca as long as it is all wet.

i might try this broken pot idea with no sphag on a cattleya soon

Roberta, thank you very much! I decide to stay mounted plant on clay raft. Thank you, your opinion absolutely right.
DirtyCoconuts thank you :) But I don't will potting raft in LECA. I'll grow as usual mounted plant.
