This actually looks more like bractescens, bracteata is more greenish w/ wider tepals, I think.

Thanks for the encouragement and the reminder, Nat. I have taken some, but not nearly enough. The Guayaquil nursery was very very big. The Gualaceo nursery is huge; more like a small village. It's on a hill, so all the greenhouses are on different levels. It's a beautiful place. I hope you get the chance to visit! (I'm already thinking about my next trip...)

It sounds amazing! Many parts of South America are already high on my travel wish list, and it looks like there are some more I should add... Thanks for sharing so much documentation from your trip!
