Yes, success is not guaranteed with this individual.

The spraying on the undersides of the leaves is for the purpose of hopefully ensuring that the plant is able to get a little bit of hydration. There are pores on the underside of the leaves. It serves a similar purpose to increasing the humidity.

I would also keep the temperature around 90 F during the day, and drop it to about 70 F at night and see if that will help some.
