Should I wait until spring to repot?

The new root tips are usually delicate so, unless I am using NZ sphagnum moss, I usually just leave the new roots exposed when I re-pot. When the roots have buried themselves into the medium, I gently put some new medium around the exposed part of the roots. I don't like to take chances with the delicate root tips as I know how easy they are to damage.
