In general the quality is pretty good, but I've stopped dealing with them because of a number of problems I've had with their plants--totally degraded potting mix, mislabeled/unlabeled plants, and misleading advertizing. Don't get me wrong--the majority of the things I purchased from them were fine, but if you decide to buy things from them, I would recommend immediate repotting and a very skeptical eye towards all your purchases.

I have never ordered anything off the web, but it is a nice place to find interesting plants if you go there in person.
I bet if you tell us what kinds of plants you are looking for, we'd be able to come up with all sorts of places to find them.

I happen to live close to them, I go there twice a year for open house and specials sales. There orchids are wonderful. They are great. I have never had a problem at all. I grow in s/h so as soon as there is new growth
i repot so I can't say if the potting mix is broken down or not.

I haven't purchased from them but as a rule I repot everything as soon as it gets home... you never know what's lurking below

This is actually pretty wise advice for any new orchid if one really wants to know what's going on deep in the pot. I try to repot everything as soon as it is viable.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
