Sorry to say that plant looks beyond hope! I feel so bad for you! It is shameful to send a plant like that to anyone. Why bother? They should just steal your money and not waste time sending a dead plant! I will never buy from them, that is for sure! I usually find that when the newest growth is that damaged, the plant doesn't recover. I think you will see crown rot before you see that one flower. Just my . Keep bugging them until you get your money back!!!

I don't normally buy from anyone on Ebay anyway, but will be sure to avoid this seller if I'm ever tempted. Make sure you leave negative feedback!

The newest leaf looks like it suffered cold damage to me. I'd be tempted to cut it back to try and avoid crown rot. Put it in a warm spot, and in lower light than you normally would. It might surpise you.

well i filed a claim at pay pal Just tring to get my money back and this is what she tells them

Seller: Upon inspection of pictures posted on a website by the buyer, this is definitely NOT the plant that was shipped to the buyer. The leaf span is entirely too large for this particular plant. Additionally, the plant in question is in a round pot. We use square pots for this type of orchid. I am puzzled as to what this buyer's motives are because he intially purchased this plant on Ebay and then sent me an email asking me to disregard the purchase because he accidentally bought the item. When I asked the buyer to make good on his purchase, he did so reluctantly so I would not report this to Ebay as an unpaid item. The buyer has also left us a negative feedback on Ebay which we feel is entirely unwarranted.

I could no believe what i just read...

Now i know I am a new guy that found a passion for orchids I lost my job have 2 kids.... I had alittle money sitting in paypal so i just bought a 30.00 orchid and this is what i get.. for being the honest one ...nutty world we live in

just stay clear from this vendor at all cost.. sticky?

What the heck??!!!??? My jaw hit the floor reading that!
So she's saying that it's not the plant she shipped to you. How can that be possible?? I'm not going to say what I think, because the forum is not the place for it. Don't want to get in trouble with the mods.

I know it's too late now, but it may be a good idea to stick to the Ebay vendors recommended on OB. At least then you are sure to be dealing with serious sellers.

I'm so sorry you had such a horrific experience, but I am glad you left a negative feedback and glad you warned us all about this seller. Thank you. You have to shake this off and hope for the best with that plant even though it may not make it. It could surprise you, though.
Just know that you did all you could, and know that what goes around, comes around. This seller has lost many many sales, and will feel the pinch soon.

I buy on Ebay and have never really been burned. The worst that has happened was I was sent seedlings as blooming sized. I do check out feedback no matter how much I want what is being offered. I also have no scruples in contacting the seller and make them spell out in an email exactly what I should expect and I keep all correspondence with the seller. I also ask for an extra picture.
And with that...I sell a few plants on Ebay. Extras and lost tag stuff. I'm honest and ship exactly what I've described.

I think if I was shipped the plant that was photographed I'd be mad enough to make a road trip.

I purchased a phal from this vendor ONCE! I tried my best to save it but it was doomed from day one. Needless to say I never went back and never will.

Wow. Their response absolutely stuns me. I've never seen something so blatantly dishonest on eBay. I'm really at a loss for words.
