Default Neo falcata 'Benisuzume'

...and finally, my Benisuzume bloomed

...but to be honest, I am a bit disappointed with its performance, and really hope next year will be better. The plnat is indeed smaller than 'Amami' and so are the flowers (abot 50% the size of Amami), it is less aromatic, but still OK, and the flowers are not as pink as they are supposed to be But I like it anyway

Ramón, I think your flowers are gorgeous! They are very elegant. I don't think it will ever be as big as Amami, but with the right conditions, you should get more intense colouring. Though I wouldn't be unhappy to see flowers like your's!

Congrats!!

please don't get me wrong I love my plant... I was just waiting for it to be darker, but I know this can be improved... as for the rest... well, my 'Amami' just made a GREAT display, even its fragrance is just just WOW WOW WOW!, so, I started with a HIGH standard

Is the Benisuzume supposed to have the curling (sorry don't know the right term) like that to the flowers? I was just wondering because the other pic you posted of the "amami" didn't curl like that. I think it is very pretty though. I am also wondering if an orchid does curl back like that, how do you know if that is how it is supposed to be or a genetic issue or something else? I thought the faces were supposed to be flat, but I like them all ways.... I am confused?? Anyone know?

I think the pink is gorgeous though, and if you do get them to be more intense, pictures please!

well, that's another point... as for the pics of benisuzume I have seen, they tend to have more the classical form as in Amami. I hope nextyear the flowers are improved... This little plant had a hard and complicated travel history behind, before it came to my hands. It can have affected the blooming this year.
