Very impressive. Thank you for including a picture of the entire plant. Can you give more details on how you grow it? I've been considering getting an Aerangis.

Thanks for the comments. I grow it low-light in a terrarium with moderate humidity, frequent watering - it has been under LED lights for about 2.5 years, but now gets a little bit of natural sunlight. This is a bounce back - it nearly croaked on me, but somehow pulled itself together. Air movement was key.

Very nice!
Calvin is this one of your purchases from Malala? What was your success rate with the imports from them? It is that time of the year and I'm trying to decide if I want to do an order.
Thanks - Brooke

Hi Brooke,
This was actually a Taiwan import a friend procured for me - we were dubious it was the true species, but it seems it actually is.
I am seriously considering the Malala import, after refraining for the last 3 years - I received Brenda's e-mail, and I wonder whether the fall import would have more success given that the plants are just entering their growth phase, which might give them a bit more oomph to adjust to our conditions.
I've had horrible rates in the past...from 2 imports, I have around 50% that survive the initial, and through circumstance, poor culture etc..., I am now down to a single plant!
Are you thinking of going with the fall order from Botanica, or doing your own order? they have so many good things on that list....

I know i'm not Brooke but I just put in an order w/Malala for 3 of the Cynorkis. My first...so I thought it best to stick w/these in hopes that I do ok w/them since they will just be starting to wake up. I've ordered in from Central/S Amer and Taiwan w/little trouble...but this will be my first out of Africa/Madagascar. Fingers crossed.

I would be ordering through Botanica. Like Katrina I have gotten plants from Taiwan and Central,South America and have had good results from those purchases.
My problem is we are going into winter and if this winter is as bad as last winter, I'm afraid they wouldn't be happy. I have so many ugly gray days and some days where the heater runs all day and night and the humidity is higher in my house than the g/h.
I will probably let Botanica bring them in, get them established and then buy from them
It is nice to have you back on the forums.
Brooke
