Default Bulbophyllum seed sowing media

Hello everyone :-) I will soon be trying to propagate different kind of orchid seeds including Bulbophyllum, does anyone have some media recommendations for those? Have been looking at p723 as a opportunity.

kind regards Lars :-)

I have several Bulbo species seeds going very well on P668 from OSP in honey jars @ 22 - 30 Degrees C. I place the flasks outside under a 90% shade net from 06h30 until 18h30 daily and it took about 40 days to visually observe the total greenness on the media.

P723 is a germination medium that I use for all seeds including Bulbos with good results. P668 is really a replate medium. I can't say it won't work for germination because I do not know.

I believe I am correct in saying that 668 contains banana and some seeds will not germinate in banana containing medium. I do use 668 as my general replate medium.

Good luck

Thanks for the usefull info from both of you :-) I think I will give both the p723 and p668 a try and see what happens, and to compare the germination rates.
