Let me know when you start selling there. I will be interested to have a look at your orchids. Mostly after flasks of species though.

If you are looking for species of Orchids..... I'd either go to Supa Orchids..... Main road Puttamonton Sai4 or KB Orchids in Patum Thani

Sure, I shouldn't be too far away from selling...... Might be in a couple months when the flowers start coming back due to the seasons...... It's starting to get hard finding Orchids with flowers at the moment. Wholesale, that is.

Thanks anyway. I might go over that way and see if I can find them sometime. I will check BioU as well as I am still shopping around for a lab. The one I checked out sounded ok, but its good to see who else is about.

I know there are many around, but i don't know where. BioU is cheap but good, where others are more pricey. Another good place to go is Talad Nam Don Wai.... you'll find flasks there too.

[QUOTE=Dorothy;196450] I love Pleiones !!

Thanks Dorothy

I love them too.. Though Maculata is my 100% favourite. I am more into species and their preservation..

After travelling a lot in the developing nations of the world and living for four years in Thailand I have come to realise the importance of flasking species and sharing them around. I am now trying to collect species not currently available in Australia to take back when I go late this year. I know I have some friends in species societies there drooling.

On my last trip through China/Myanmar (Burma) I saw orchids such as Pleiones, vandas etc sold on the roadside by people trying to eek out a living. While I see no way to stop that, we have to preserve what we have.

ooops.. getting way off topic. Perhaps I should open a thread on preservation and the ineffectiveness of CITES.

Brett
