Two in the one pot Male
Default Two in the one pot

I buy my orchids as very small plants, usually about 3 inches high in 2 inch pot/tubes. Mainly cattleya and oncidium, and hybrids.

Looking at some of these, it’s clear that several are actually two plants in the same pot. These are mericlones so I guess someone got a bit sloppy when they were deflasking.

My question is whether there is any problem with allowing them to stay together, or should they be split up into their own pot. I can’t see an issue either way myself, but maybe there is something I’m overlooking.

Cheers
