How often to re-pot Massde's Female
Default

[QUOTE=WhiteRabbit;713149]Is it maybe algae growing on the sphag?
Even if it's moss growing, I don't think it should be harmful ...[/QUO
Well yes I do think it is algae but it is also live green moss growing on top of the sphagnum. It even has little buds in one pot.

It kind of looks cool and it also grows on the outside of the pots themselves. I have had them almost a year now and was just wondering when it would be time to re-pot them.

I re-potted the one this summer because I was having problems with them getting brown on the tips of there leaves. But I am now sure the culprit was the early morning sun shinning on them. They are all 4 looking better and I have 2 in bloom.

I'm not sure I can get a good picture of it as I don't have a micro lens. I just was wondering how fast sphag will break down.

I kind of like it as well, but I was wondering if that meant the sphagnum was breaking down and going to smother them. I am very new to Masdevallia's
