hahaha... it looks like a crab... do you grow it under lights?
I grow this in a cool greenhouse mounted to a wall of epiweb like material over a small pond. It's only been there about 6 months. I'm pretty lazy about fertilizing and I'm currently using well water which I intend to remedy both of these issues this spring. Most all the cool an intermediate Pleuros seem to like this area despite my failings. I also have many minis growing on tree limbs in the same area.
Thanks for the kind words on the photo. It was luck.
I just got this guy too! I love Scaphosepalums, they're so cool!!!
Scaph fimbriatum has flowers that are roughly 1/2" in length and they bloom sequentially from the same spike.
Scaphosepalum flowers always remind me of Audrey 2 from "Little Shop of Horrors". I sometimes fool around and talk to the plants hoping that they'd somehow say "Feed me, Seymour! Feed me!"
