Well, more flowers will be along... maybe you can position it so that it doesn't take a direct hit. The fringes certainly can survive getting wet - my plant gets a daily bath from sprinklers, and gets rained on, but it does get a chance to dry out. While my summer temperatures usually aren't much above the mid-80's F, sometimes can be a good bit warmer. When it is very dry, I water again in the afternoon. So "rain" and "humidity" at my house both come from a hose.
