I have an astrophoro too and would love to take such beautiful pics. What equipment do you use. Christmas is coming and maybe Santa will bring something photographic.

Many thanks Carrie, these are still LAZY pics as I call them, that means I am too lazy to take all my stuff out, like tripod, remote etc for real close ups and better pics:-) I am Canon user, this was Canon Rebel T3 camera body, and Canon Macro EF 100mm lens, no tripod and no remote used. There is better macro lens, however the better one is around $1600 instead of $900 for this one, so I did go for cheaper version, since I have full backpack of the different lenses. In optimal situation I would use also closeup filter, tripod, and remote, pics would be more detailed and clear. Hope this helps, start your Santa's list:-)))

Polarizeme, the lens is Canon macro EF 100mm 1:2.8. Not sure what exactly shooting rig means?:-)
