Canon Rebel T3 body, and this macro lens:-) Thanks God I did get all my gear few years ago, with all the lenses, filters, tripods, ring fleshes and other possible and impossible stuff imaginable:-) So I am all set there. I am satisfied with this macro lens, even I would love the Canon EF Macro lens - 180 mm - F/3.5 - Canon EF, but the price tag for that one is just way too high, and for that money I will go for better tele lens that I use more anyway:-)

Nice to see what the Canon 100mm can do, since that's what I originally meant to get before settling on the Tamron. And I also nearly got the Rebel T3 as well, but decided to spend more to get the T3i. I can't live without the swivel screen anymore, it's been a lifesaver when trying to get shots from odd positions (like my mushroom shots taken from ground level)
Sorry, I have T3i, just forgot to type it, I agree:-)

Carrie, if he is going to get the set, it comes with the basic lens, however I did purchase many other basic lenses:-) I replaced the cheap basic plastic one for pricy but very good Canon EF 28-135mm 1:3.5-5.6IS, that's "everyday" every situation lens now, than I had to get tele lens, so got Canon EF-S Telephoto zoom lens - 55 mm - 250 mm - F/4.0-5.6 - this one is not so expensive and works great! DO NOT GO for Canon Telephoto zoom lens - 75 mm - 300 mm - F/4.0-5.6 - Canon EF USM, it is cheaper, but really horrible reviews and not good pics!!! Than I got the macro lens. This is my basic gear, I have many different filters, few tripods, Manfrotto works the best, remotes, ring flash for macro, and many other "small things" One day I realized the price tag on the camera bag pack with all the small things and I did stop:-)))) I did rent once for a week trip to Wyoming Canon EF Telephoto zoom lens - 200 mm - 400 mm - F/4.0 - Canon EF and I am totally and completely in LOVE with that tele lens, that's my true dream item!!! However, $12000 price tag makes it unreal:-)))))) But I will rent it again for a week when going to Wyoming, it is amazing for any pics from far away!!! Just few examples of pics taken with that lens:-)
