Hi Terri,
I know exactly how you feel when it comes to the health of these little ones.
We've had our share of vet bills.
Here's our story.

When Miki was 1 yrs old he suffered GME (granulmatous meningo-encephalitis)- a brain distorder.
Miki has his own neuologist. He had a spinal tap (extraction of spinal fluids) and cheomtherapy after spending a few days in ICU!
After lots of $ and tears, I thought we were going to lose him.
As you can see, Miki fought back and he has been good in the last 3 years.

With regard to weight control, I feed Miki Eukanuba Diet kibble. Miki gets 2 small meals a day, plus a snack (Greenies, raw bones or pigs ear) and whatever falls off the kitchen bench!
I know what you mean about weight control with these sausage dogs! They never feel full!

Thank you for sharing your doxie stories! I wish I could help Tucker scratch his ears!
Buds!
