A difference of five degrees C is the same as 9 degrees F. Water freezes at 0C or 32 F. So 5C is 9 F above freezing, or 41 F.

The derivation helps jog your memory:
Freezing 0C 32 F
Boiling 100C 212 F
Distance freezing to boiling 100C 180 F
Difference of 100 C = difference of 180 F
100/180 = 10/18 = 5/9.

You can also have a plain text file in one-degree increments, C in one column and F in another.

Thanks for the shortcut, ES.

As I like to be sure that people understand what I'm writing (and keep reading), I always convert it. But I must confess...it's not fun!

BTW, now it's 23:00 and outside temp is 30ºC and HR=37%. During the day, max temp was 42ºC and HRmin=17%.
ES, not the same as Phoenix, but similar, no?

Iwill be away for the weekend and I am watering everything...again.
