The 2005 Annual Meeting of the Canadian Orchid Congress is being held in conjunction with the Foothills Orchid Society's Annual Show and Sale in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
It runs from September 30 to October 2, 2005.
Some of the vendors are accepting pre-orders that you can pick up there.

The show AND sale is open to the public starting at noon on October 1 - I don't know how much the entry fee is. Apparently some of the vendors that are accepting pre-orders are only doing so for registered delegates. Regardless, I am sure there will be lots of plants to choose from or pre-order prior to the event.

I will be trying to get lots of pics to post in my gallery.

Went to this event, and had a great time. Met some very nice people from the Calgary society and exchanged alot of insight into the challenges that many of us can encounter.

There are a number of pictures from the show displays and closeups of the flowers. There were some great examples what excellent culture can do to produce a spectacular floral display on plants.

There was also a great selection of plants in the sales area. I did not escape without a considerable increase to my collection of plants! Most impressed with the variety of flasks available from Orchid Inn (USA), Equatorial Plants (UK) and Lucke Orchideen (Germany). Plants quality and price were exceptional from Lucke Orchideen.
