Default Prosthechea cochleata

Hi all, Went to the Strand today. Saw a lot of great stuff, and my first time seeing a Clamshell Orchid in bloom.

very healthy looking plant, It doesn't seem to be very high in the canopy, so i would imagine it gets lots of dappled light?

That's a great experience.

These are one of my wife's favorites. Mine (potted, in greenhouse) has been blooming continuously for the last 4 years. It usually has 6 or seven spikes going at a time, and is still growing.

Still, nothing beats seeing orchids in thier natural habitat.
