Smile Trichopilia hennisiana

This had two spikes, but the first one blasted. This one didn't. It has a strange musty fragrance. I like the flower too. :-)

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Smile Bee U Tee Ful!

Beautiful Orchid .. Kevin
I love the shape of this one.
I snapped these photos of Trichophilia Sauvis at the GNYOS in NYC and found the flower to be most intigruing. I wasn't close enough to get a noseful though.

Nice Trichopilia Kevin! I've never seen that species before. Suavis on the other hand, is far more common but equally lovely.

I do like the hennisiana more so! It's so pure white!
I think you have an award winner on your hands, Kev!

It's a large-growing plant. I'll post a picture of the plant too, later.

Hi Kev,
How is this plant doing? I have one on the way, can't wait to see if I can bloom it.
Any helpful hints would be welcomed.

Very nice, Kevin!!
I'm having trouble with mine. Can you tell the general temps you give to yours (since you are in Michigan I presume cold temps... !)
