A second bloom has opened and I noticed that the first one looked somewhat longer (taller) than it did yesterday so I re-measured...seems that the lateral petals have straightened out and the total size of the bloom from top to bottom is actually 9 1/2 inches! I am really looking forward to seeing what this guy looks like when all the buds on the three spikes are open!
