Default Just wanted to show off

just wanted to show off some of my orchids, trees, shrubs, and others.
it was a rainy day in the desert so i decided to let some of my orchids sit out for a good natural bath. i find my plants always do better with rainwater ( of course!).

The atmosphere of the desert on this beautiful sunday.

First up is my Jade vine (Strongylodon Macrobotrys). I'm not sure how well it is doing because it hasn't really done much. The tips of 2 out of the 3 vine tips have died back but i'm hoping that was just due to shipping and change of environment ( i received this plant about a month ago from Florida). The leaves are still green and erect so I'm keeping my hopes up that it will stay alive.
I keep the soil moist and spray it anywhere from once to a few times a day.

This is what the flowers look like on a mature Plant.

Next up is my Gustavia Augusta. I ordered this from the same nursery as my jade vine. It is a fragrant small tree with big beautiful pink, yellow and white flowers. I hear it grows very slowly. So far it has done okay. i haven't seen much of anything in the month and a half that i've had it. But looks healthy. i keep this one moist as well.

This is my Goethea Strictiflora. This one also comes from the same nursery in Florida. I love this one because the flowers grow directly from the branches. I first saw this species at the conservatory of flowers in San Francisco.

If you right click on the image and click on open in a new tab you can see the images.

That is a very pretty setup.

I could open them, very nice. I tried to post one from the opened image, but it won't work. I think you need to get the url from the picture instead of the "veiwing version". The host site should have a "get url from picture" in there, photobucket does.

Sorry it's a bit late, but I've converted your images to links that people can click on and see.

It looks like your links are pointing to pages where the images can be seen, rather than to the images themselves. This means they need to be posted as links (the globe/chain link icon rather than the mountains in a yellow square one). Or you need to find the link that points direct to the photo. Sites like Photo Bucket or Flickr will give you this.

Anyway, your setup looks great. Thanks for sharing it.
