I'm going to see it soon. It looks interesting on the commercials I've seen for it.
Did anyone see Eragon? I LOVED the book but they made a mess of the movie. It should have been a two part movie but the director crammed it into 2 hours and it made no sense at all. My suggestion....read the book and forget the movie. Right now I'm reading the second book 'Eldest'...it's great too. (I just hope they don't want to put that on film too)

It looks cool. The writer and director of this movie, Guillermo del Toro, also wrote and directed a movie called The Devil's Backbone. I saw The Devil's Backbone last year on a movie channel and really liked it. There's a review someone posted on imdb.com but it might spoil it for you.

I can't wait to see Pan's Labrynth - a friend of mine has been talking about it for months, and I just saw the preview myself for the first time the other day. It looks absolutely beautiful!
I have to agree with you about Eragon, Wendy. I never read the book, but I saw the movie last weekend. I was a bit disappointed - I could tell that it had the potential to be a FANTASTIC flick, but that it wasn't really given the chance to shine. The movie seemed thrown together really quickly, like the actors didn't really have time to get into what they were doing. Still, it was a lot of fun.

I heard such horrible reviews about Eragon, that I decided not to watch it so I would not loose enthusiasm for the whole genre. I haven't read the book, but I am planning to now!
I'm planning to go watch Pan's Labyrinth this Weekend, maybe tomorrow. The only theatre I go to in NYC that is playing it is an IMAX theatre, so maybe I get to see it on an extra big screen!!

I heard the same thing about Eragon, and didn't see it at first because of the reviews...but then I got free movie ticket vouchers in my stocking from Santa, and decided to give it a shot anyway, just because I love dragons AND Jeremy Irons, hehe.
Do let us know how you like Pan's Labrynth. I can't wait til payday, hehe.

Bolero, Im just glad they gave us a chance to see it here. I didn't know the film existed till yesterday. How did you hear about it?
S1ren, now you are making me want to go see Eragon, just for the dragons ofcourse.
Actually, they might not be showing it here anymore.

Pan's Labyrinth sounds very interesting. Looks like it's well shot, I do enjoy those rare artistic films.
As to Eragon, I was a little disappointed but I didn't think it was that bad, it is a childrens movie afterall. I think we have all been spoiled by LOTR.

Oh wow! I just saw the movie, in Manhatten. OMG, what a great movie. Excellently made, beautiful story, and may I just say, the use of the Spanish language is gorgeous (even if they do curse).
Watch it, otherwise you will regret it.
