Most sobralia are very short bloomers...blooms open for less than a day. You'll get multiple blooms over a period of days but each flower is gone FAST. It's why I'm getting rid of mine...it bloomed for about 2 weeks last winter and I never saw one opened flower...only the closed ones. Getting rid of mine and won't take up space with another. With that said, if I lived somewhere that allowed me to have them either in the landscape or in pots year round...i would have them because they are beautiful, when you can catch the blooms open.
