Still clinging to sanity eh? Well, to each their own.
Personally, I'm going nuts over all those wonderful plants and the various great set-ups you've got. I agree with Beverly, thanks for the ideas on hanging plants. Of course, I go nuts over any collection larger than a dozen plants. I'm so deprived!
Kiki, Great collection! And just what is needed to get through winter - a tropical paradise right under your nose. I have toyed with the idea of moving my plants out to the greenhouse, but I really like them in the house and as long as I can keep them happy, they'll stay where they are.
They may keep you sane, but they also give the rest of us food for our souls as well. Seeing such happy plants is inspiring!
You think your winters in main are bad try northern albertas winters( the snow just started melting a couple days ago and there is still two feet of it), I have every nook and cranny of our house stuffed with house plants to help me get through the winter! lol!!

You win! I know your winters and you win!
I have patches of lawn starting to show here and there. We throw our cold woodstove ashes out on the snow in our yard and that is where it's melted the most. Wood ash is a natural lime for lawn and gardens. So it has also helped to melt things here.
Knock on wood, the snow has been melting very well around here. What does that mean????? It's almost ordering orchids time!!!!!!
Lol!! I went outside after I posted that and there is actually still 3ft of snow!! LOL!! I have to wait until early summer to ensure warm enough weather to order plants!
This will be my first winter with orchids, after about 40 winters in New England or Buffalo New York.
It's going to be a great winter with my new babies.
