Here is a great little article on Rupicolous Laelia Culture - I don't know if the link has been posted but here it is - How to Grow Rupicolous Laelias
Those in fear of low lighting might be surprised as I was in reading that "they (rupicolous laelias) will bloom with light levels adequate for most standard Cattleya hybrids. If grown in full sun they will eventually die." ...
"This group of orchids is adaptable to a wide temperature and humidity range and will happily grow in the same conditions as the rest of your cattleyas and oncidiums."
I hope this sheds some new 'light' to those that have shied away from this project because of possible growing restrictions.

Not what I have been told. Even Mauro stated

Yes, for the rock Laelias light, very bright light is a real need!

The link is Laelia briegeri

I have this same 'chid (briegeri) and have been keeping it next to south-facing window where is gets dismal sun in Michigan autumns but is best I can do. Lithophytes grow pretty much in full sun and turn very red and bloom faithfully in the native areas of Brazil.
