Ok, decided I'm repotting into a larger pot. Went to water it today and found it's decided to grow loads of roots now it's flowered.
.... Well, I think it was about time!

Wow, that's quite some roots. Looks like it should like it's new home!

Fantastic roots!! Did you bother to get the old medium out, or just chunk the entire thing in the larger pot? Mine's in pretty much the same state, and I'm sorely tempted to do as I did for the previous repot and dump it in the new one as is. Dealing with all those roots seem daunting.

I would be tempted to just dump it in a new pot with roots like that. Sometimes I think the damage done trying to seperate, even if it's only a little is not worth it.

Mine's mounted so it just sits there. I remounted once and the old mount had fallen to pieces so just removed the big lumps of it but left a lot of the old mount clinging to the roots when I stuck it on the new one.

Never mind deciding how to go about repotting it, first I need to find a way to pry it out of the current pot!

Last time I checked the roots was 2 months or so ago, and I've kept putting off repotting. Now I can't get it out of the pot, even with the help of a colleague. And when I run my hand over the pot, I can feel some bulging spots where the roots are putting pressure.

Have I grown a monster?????

Thanks Colette,Rosie & Camille!
I had a hard time getting it out of the pot, had to ask hubby to help and it took quite a few minutes!
I didn't want to damage the roots so I didn't even try to pry any out and just stuck it into the bigger pot and added bark, which is what it originally came potted in. I don't think there is much medium inside the root ball either. Although I'm not sure that the new pot is big enough? I'll see how it goes.
