strong grower - another 2 spikes developing. Really nice color. Note that the flowers did NOT grow towards the light as I did not change the aspect at all.
This is one I crossed and have a motherflask about to be replated.

The flowers have a nice scent, especially when in the sun. Its in a south-facing window..

flowers are 3.5 inches wide ( span ) and 3 in deep.
Zygos are great as they flower on each new growth and if you get conditions just right, you could have multiple bloomings in a year. This is the 3rd for me - and what really helped was moving it outside in early Summer.

Just got my first Zygo Blue Blazes in the mail today. Hope it is as beautiful as yours when it blooms. How large was yours when it began to bloom?

generally speaking zygos bloom off each new pseudobulb growth. Mine had 3 pseudo-bulbs when I got it, with a spike from the 3rd.

OK. Thanks! Mine is just a baby...1 pb and a new one coming. It looks healthy, though. I don't mind the wait...anticipation is half the fun!
