I think it's normal. The plant just didn't have the energy to open those last few buds. A beautiul blooming nevertheless.

I'm swooning over the Cyrtorchis! Mine was originally mounted for about a year but sev. months ago I rehomed it to a vanda type basket. Had it under growlights but now it's outside getting water and bright light. I'll add your useful comments to help me get to something as lovely and well grown as yours.
