The one with the yellow mini cattleya?
It reminded me of my great grandfather.
I had to get it.
I'm big on decorative pots.

I like orchids that can double as nice looking house plants in deco pots......If they can stay green long enough in my care, I like to take em inside at night and look at em even with no blooms.

I think that's why I keep my vanilla orchid lol.
Because it makes such a lovely house plant in that pretty little hanging pot.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get pics of the other novelty pots that joined that black one.
All my orchids... ok not all.
Most of my orchids are in my bedroom, so I need to pot yup look nice.
I call that window sill my novelty pot sill.

Trader joe's jas really great selection when it comes to oncidium orchids. I found an oncidium Juhbiao gold 'tainan' AM/AOS there looking really great with tons of flowers and it was a very big plant but it was covered in scale. I made sure I got rid of those cause there is no way I'm throwing that plant away!
That third photo is a Miltassa

Oh, my Ordphien, You have really hit the jackpot. Our TJ's doesn't have Catts or Paphs. Mostly Phals now, but I'm hoping they will do more of the fancy kinds in spring. The only thing about our TJs is that none of them have tags, so I have to post them here to get an ID

My trader Joe's has a very high orchid turnover rate.
Actually, I have 5 trader Joe's within 10 minutes of me. Two hardly get orchids, one only gets phals, another gets mainly phals with the occasional great find, and the last one has a constant highly varied stream of orchids.
So they can really vary from store to store.

Only half my orchids come with tags.
If you wish to know any of the names I'll post them.

I like the second one its just a happy yellow and such a cute flower.

I really want the 9th one that Zygo with more green. I am waiting for that one to be at my TJ. I love how these plants look even when not in bloom.

Very nice thanks for sharing.

That second one is oncidium gold dust.
I don't have a name for that zygo. But it's pretty common.

Yes it is definitely a zygonisia! TJ's had three of them yesterday when I went on my Tuesday orchid hunt!
Fred Meyer gets orchids in on Tuesdays where I live, so I go to two Fred Meyers and then TJs and admire the beauty.

They had GIANT cymbidiums when I was at the stores!

TJs and Fred Meyer seem to have the same distributors, but TJs bags up the orchids and labels them as their own, but I saw a zygonisia at Fred Meyer's the same day.

Never saw a paph and Freddie's, though!
