New Yamamoto dendrobium flower question

Hi all,

I recently got a dendrobium nobile hybrid in bloom from an orchid sale. Just a couple days ago, I noticed that some parts of the petals have gotten to be translucent, and I can see veins when the flowers are put to the light. The petals didn't lose their color, they just got a lot lighter. These sections are also floppy.

Is this the natural dying process of the flowers, or a virus of some kind?
