Dendrobium kingianum var. alba
PRESENTING :
Dendrobium kingianum var. alba
(in bloom)
This plant is found from rocky cliffs of New South Wales & Queensland, to Coastal California homes and gardens. This hardy, compact growing species is easy to grow and blooms prolifically in many variations of lavender-mauve, shell pink, white, and combinations thereof. I have the lavender and this white plant at my south facing windowsill. Pure white variety of one of my favorite Dendrobium species! This orchid is temperature tolerant with a fragrant smell of Narcissus and Iris. One of my hardiest orchids, this Australian species is a prolific grower and great bloomer. Blooming months are from February to March. This species is endemic to Australia.
