Spike or Growth...what is this 'thingy'? Female

It's a cymbidium? (not sure what a Cyb is ..._. Could be a spike. Timing is about right. I find that cym spikes are roundish and elongate pretty quickly, so you will know soon enough

yes... its a Cymbidium, must have slipped on the keys LOL Oh I sure hope you are right , Thanks for the input
