There are some really great image makers out here in our midst. Even this year's cover has a disturbing "blob" of an out of focus leaf right at the top where it is most distracting. I still voted for it. But it could have been better. I have seen some awsum photos from Mauro and was stunned that he submitted the one he did. He has submitted much better over the year. So, hopefully we can get folks more provoked over the next year to submit great photos.

I know Ross, there was some lack of sharpness and a 'blob' in my picture this year, but i hope i can take much better picture next time.
The main thing is, that this calendar sells well ... and i am sure it does, dispite of this 'blob'
Anyway, thanks Ross for voting also my picture this year.

It's never a popularity contest - it's about subject and ability to capture the 'spirit' of the plant and blossom.
I think it's a popurality contest as well as a contest where you have to capture the spirit of your orchid, both elements are important, how else we can choose the best ones, that's only my opinion.
