Thanks

The plant is Slc. Mine Gold 'Corona' AM/AOS. It is a plant that captured my eye at last years show (pic #2) and again this year (pic #1).

Oscarman, would you happen to remember whose display it was in???

Oscarman 03-04-2008 04:56 PM

In fact I do - it was part of the Foothills Orchid Society Display with various members contributed their plants for that display.

;)
According to Little Frog Farms - Slc. Barefoot Mailman 'Laina' - $14.00 : Littlefrog Farm, Jump into Orchids!!
"Slc. Barefoot Mailman = L. briegeri x Slc. Madge Fordyce
A very small and compact cattleya. Flowers are yellow with darker orange/red splashes. A great choice for under lights, will bloom in a 2" pot."

OOh! I love that red flower! Would that do well outside in South Florida?

Bolero 03-07-2008 07:15 PM

Amazing colour! That would be something to own.

clxt7321 03-07-2008 08:01 PM

According to Oscarman, the plant at the show and the one I ordered from Cloud's are not the same plant. The picture on Cloud's site sure looks a whole lot like it though. Hopefully, it comes close. They won't be shipping it till May 5:( so have a while to wait before I even get it.
