Bag Babies are small baby-ish orchids sold in plastic bags in big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes. In stores local to my area at least, the orchids in the bags are often neglected and or displayed poorly. I usually cringe as I walk by them or look away so as not to be disgusted. Apparentely, some stores in other areas take better care according to some here on OB.

Your plant is beautiful. Great find. I have purchased over 20 bag babies and I must say they are all very healthy. I found one in spike last time I looked. My collection grows every time I go "shopping for hardware". I have never even seen an unhealthy plant there. It might be because I buy them before they sit too long.
