Default November-December Blooms

First time these plants have bloomed for me since I bought them 2 or 3 years ago. A NOID Pink Cattleya I picked up at the Orchid Farm on Hwy 152 outside of Los Banos, CA, and a Blc. Chunyeah 'Tzeng Wen' I picked up at Home Depot.
I think moving them outside this past spring and summer is what did the trick. Of course they've been back inside since it turned cold.
Enjoy!

Just beautiful. I especially like the pink noid. It looks spectacular growing on the mount. How often do you water her?

Those are beautiful!!

I'm headed through Los Banos in a couple of weeks, do you have the address of the Orchid Farm? I'm always on the lookout for more sources.

Hi Maureen,

I don't know the exact address, but it's just a few miles to the east of Los Banos on Hwy 152, on the westbound side of the road. Huge sign - you probably can't miss it.
Good hunting!

Beautiful blooms. I too really like the mounted cattleya. They look fantastic when they're mounted, and if they weren't such a pain for me to water that way, I'd have all of mine mounted. Congratulations on your great finds.

I just take mine to the sink and spray 'em down. (I have one of those hand held nozels that I can pull out.) And when they're hanging outside in the summer a quick squirt with the water hose is all it takes. (And yes, they definitely get watered more on hot sunny days.)
